An identity redesign that preserves the brand’s old-world roots while embracing Austin’s unique and colourful culture.

Born in Belgium, raised in Austin.

Pierre Celis, interested in brewing from a young age, revived the historic witbier style in 1965 in his native Hoegaarden, Belgium. Almost twenty-five years later, Pierre daringly smuggled that yeast strain in his socks during his journey to Austin to start Celis Brewery. It was a bold move that would go on to inspire a wave of witbiers in the American craft beer scene.
